Planet Swim School Mission

MISSION STATEMENT:
To provide kids and adults a safe opportunity to learn how to swim regardless of background and swimming ability through knowledge, experience and passion.


OUR PHILOSOPHY:
Swimming is, first and foremost, a safety issue. Learning to swim and gaining a comfort level in and around water is the best preventative to any incident or accident that could lead to tragedies such as drowning. At Planet Swim School we are committed to teach swimming using an unique teaching method that combines decades of elite competitive swimming with teaching and coaching experience where each kids is taught based on individual skills and motor development while committed to safety and community.


WHY CHOOSE PLANET SWIM SCHOOL?
-    A maximum of 4:1 student/teacher ratio.
-    The staff features former Olympic and World ranked swimmers.
-    Each group is taught by experienced teachers who will follow a series of group placement and teaching instructions in order to optimize each kid’s progress.
-    Each kid is evaluated periodically to make sure they are improving and progressing as expected.
-    Weekly specific learning programs that will address the needs for each learning group.
-    Certification for every level completed and a Final Certificate for swimmers graduating from Planet Swim School.

 For two decades, after winning a bronze medal at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Sergio Lopez has been developing an universal teaching method for swimmers. The goal was to develop a teaching method where any person regardless of their skills could learn how to swim. Over recent years with the help of a few mentors and colegues along with a lot of swimming and coaching experience under his belt, Coach Sergio Lopez was able to conclude and put into practice what he named the Planet Swim Teaching Method (PSTM). Planet Swim School is honored to be the official home and the first swim school in the planet to abide to this methodology and invites you to become a part of this history with us.
